The Foundation Treatment Engineering of Coke Oven Gas to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Hydrogen Co-production Project is located in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, invested by Ansteel Zhongji (Yingkou) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. In total, the project has completed the construction of 114,500 square meters of dynamic compaction, 366 piles with diameter of 600mm and average length of 36.5m, and 139 piles with diameter of 800mm and average length of 45.5m.
The upper part of the construction site of this project is formed by the reclamation of the collapsed mountain, the thickness of the backfill layer is 9.2-16.5m, and there are a lot of large boulders in the backfill, with different sizes of grains, and the maximum size of the grains is more than 1m, which makes it difficult to drill.Due to the presence of large amounts of backfill blocks, hole drilling is prone to problems such as deflection and collapsing.Due to the existence of gaps between the ground backfill blocks, when filling concrete, after lifting the casing, the concrete will spread and go down, the construction process needs to pay attention to the control of the final concrete height of pouring. The control of concrete filling coefficient of block backfill stratum is also one of the difficulties in this project. The construction adopts full-long casing to cross the backfill area, strictly control the deviation of casing, and the construction effect is good.
The dynamic compaction construction of this project will produce huge impact energy, which will affect the surrounding environment and underground pipelines, in order to ensure the construction safety and reduce the impact on the surrounding environment and underground pipelines, the construction needs to monitor the vibration and soil displacement, and there is no provision in the specification for the construction parameters of more than 12,000kN·m tamping energy. For this reason, the project also carries out the research of " Study on Vibration Impact of 12000kN-m Dynamic Compaction Construction", and determines the minimum distance of safe construction with neighboring projects by testing the degree of impact of vibration, lateral extrusion, etc. generated by 12000kN-m tamping energy in the ultra-thick backfill soil layer for dynamic compaction construction on the neighboring environment and underground pipelines.
The foundation treatment engineering started on February 25, 2023 and finished on June 17, 2023, which lasted 114 days, meeting the requirements of the contract period, and was successfully completed under the premise of quality and safety, and was well received by the owner, the design organization, the general contracting organization and the supervisory organization.
